This is another example of a high-quality Compass pool, built in a timeless design to create a space that’s beautiful to look at, practical to maintain and enjoyable to use.
For this project, our client simply wanted a family pool that would work with the style of their Tudor-fronted home on the Bournemouth coast. It was also essential that the swimming pool would be easy to maintain.
To complement the architecture of the clients’ home, we recommended they went for a classic pool shape. The chosen one-piece pool was an XL Java, measuring 11m x 4m x 1.1m > 1.7m and finished in the Blue Saphire tone. A Roman end allows easy, safe access to the water and makes for a comfortable place to sit or lounge in hot weather.
This was installed with our Design Line package, which includes LED lights, a full-width pool skimmer and a higher water level. We also installed a 19Kw heat pump and a Vantage self-cleaning system. All of these features work together to make the pool easier to maintain, more attractive to look at and much more comfortable to use during evenings and cooler seasons.
The landscaping featured attractive granite coping stones and thoughtful positioning with flowerbeds, so the pool would visually integrate as much as possible.
The design of this pool was relatively straightforward; however, the installation came with a challenge. As you can see from the photograph, there is extremely limited access for transporting the one-piece ceramic shell into the rear garden. However, this home was not the first that required a crane to manoeuvre the pool, and we were able to overcome the issue by working with the project manager to arrange for the shell to be lowered straight into the ground post-excavation.
Once we had liaised with the project manager to ensure our installation lined up with the timelines of the rest of the work, this build went smoothly. We’re pleased to say that the client was delighted too, sending us some really positive feedback:
“We couldn’t be happier with the service we received from all the team. Right from Sheila in sales on day one, through to John and Glenn on site. Now we have a pool, the boys are in it in all weather and it gets them off the Xbox! They have used the pool every day since May – be it after school or early in the morning – and we both use it to exercise whenever we have a spare half an hour. That alone makes it more than worth it.”
