Preparing for Hose Pipe Ban

  • Give the Pool a good clean
  • Carry out a Long Backwash of your Filter and top the water level up to MAX
  • Ensure chemical levels are keep at correct level
  • Turn off Auto Top Ups before the Ban starts

During the Hose Pipe Ban

  • Keep Cover Closed when not swimming
  • Ensure Chemical levels are keep at correct level
  • Only carry out a backwash when the pressure reaches the Red on the gauge
  • Reduce the Use of Manual Vacuum where possible

Ways to Reduce Water in your Pool

    • Use an Electric Robot as this reduces the need to backwash
    • Purchase Solar Shield liquid – this is a liquid that goes in pool that reduces Evaporation
    • No Jumping or diving into pool to reduce Splash out
    • Do  not use Deck Jets or Waterfalls

My Pool Water has gone below Minimum

(Compass Pool Specific)

  • Open your Cover and leave it open at all times to protect the Slats of your pool (You will need to consider the Safety risk of leaving cover open)
  • Close the Valve to the Skimmer in Plant Room ( Keep Main Drain Open Fully)
  • Consider Buying a Bubble Cover or using Solar Shield liquid
  • Consider using a water delivery service to top your pool up (approx 500l per cm on an xltrainer 11m)
