Family XL Trainer 110 Nova One Piece Swimming Pool in Northampton
The Brief
Our client had done a lot of research before selecting a pool, so he knew exactly what he wanted when he got in touch with us. He had been recommended to us by a previous client, and so he knew he would be getting an impeccable service and the pool that he wanted.
As part of his research, our client decided that he wanted a one-piece pool with heavy insulation, in order to reduce maintenance efforts and keep the water as warm as possible. He knew exactly where he wanted the pool to go – close to the house for easy access, but with enough space that he was able to build a frame around it to keep it enclosed.
The Design
The client had already dug the hole when we installed his XL Trainer 110 pool. We added granite coping and ABS fittings for a sleek, modern look and three coloured lights for a fun finish.
Keeping the pool warm was important for our client, so we included the heavy insulation that he requested, as well as an all-season heat pump. The PVC slats and comfort cover worked together to stop heat from escaping when the pool was not in use.
The freshwater system reduced the number of chemicals required for a low-maintenance pool.
The client then surrounded the pool with an outbuilding that matched other structures in his large garden, creating a unified effect. With space for deckchairs and a small seating area, he has created a pool area that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
The Challenges
The installation of the pool was fairly straightforward, thanks to the client’s decisiveness when it came to fixtures, fittings, and other variables. However, the client did have some issues once the pool was installed. The lights did not work for some time, and after attempting several trouble-shooting exercises, they were eventually replaced with different lights, which meant that refunds had to be issued.
The Outcome
The client and his family use the pool almost every single day. The client has two children who love the water, and his wife is a keen swimmer. The client himself works long hours and enjoys the rest and relaxation that the pool brings when he has the time to enjoy it. The health benefits of having a pool were important to him and he is pleased to be able to enjoy them now.
