The Brief
The client envisioned a sophisticated and elegant swimming pool that would complement and elevate the natural beauty of their expansive rural home. The goal was to design and construct a pool that would seamlessly integrate with the surrounding countryside, offering a tranquil retreat and a versatile space for both relaxation and fitness.
The Design
The pool area design was approached with the goal of creating a visually stunning space that seamlessly integrated with the natural surroundings of the estate. It was essential to provide a sense of seclusion and privacy for the family to enjoy their leisure time, while ensuring the pool area remained harmonious with the overall aesthetic of the property. This involved careful consideration of materials, landscaping, and the integration of features that would enhance both the visual appeal and functionality of the space.
The installed pool is an XL-Trainer 110 model, chosen for its sleek lines and spacious layout. The pool features a Nova Gray ceramic shell, harmonising beautifully with the sandstone coping stones to create a sophisticated and natural look. The surrounding area is finished with matching tiles, providing a generous space for lounging and dining, while the nearby tennis court and scenic views further enhance the outdoor experience.
Key design elements include the automatic roller cover with PVC solar slats, offering energy efficiency and safety while maintaining a clean aesthetic. The pool is equipped with an advanced fresh water filtration system and a large heat pump inverter, ensuring year-round usability with minimal maintenance.
The Challenges
The primary challenge was to integrate modern pool technology into a rural setting without disrupting the natural landscape. The excavation and installation required careful planning to maintain the integrity of the surrounding environment, including managing the removal and leveling of ground with limited access. Another challenge was ensuring the pool’s features, such as the SwimJet system and advanced filtration, were installed in a way that did not detract from the pool’s minimalist design.
The Outcome
The result is a stunning pool that serves as a central feature in the client’s rural retreat. The combination of modern design, advanced technology, and thoughtful landscaping has transformed the space into a private oasis, perfectly blending with the scenic surroundings.
