XL-Trainer 110FB Pool Installation in Flimwell, East Sussex

Flimwell, East Sussex The customer envisioned a swimming pool that would seamlessly blend with the historic charm of their countryside property while offering all the conveniences of modern pool technology. They were looking for a design that would be both aesthetically pleasing and functional, providing a tranquil space for relaxation and family gatherings.

The Brief

The pool’s design needed to look in-keeping with the natural surroundings and the older style of property, whilst still including all the modern conveniences and ease-of-use features the client was looking for. Creating a relaxing space for the family to use together was crucial as well as equipping the pool with the technology to mean the customer could spend more time enjoying the pool and less time managing it.

The pool needed to be visually striking but harmoniously integrated with the existing landscape, respecting the established aesthetic and natural elements, ensuring it felt like a natural extension of the garden rather than an intrusive addition. To achieve a truly cohesive and elegant outdoor space, the design had to strike a delicate balance between a captivating focal point and seamless integration with the landscape.

The Design

Following a detailed consultation with the client, we chose an XL-Trainer 110FB model for its elegant proportions and versatility. The pool measures approximately 11m x 4m, featuring a Nova Gray ceramic shell that complements the natural tones of the surrounding landscape. The pool is framed with high-quality granite coping stones, which add a touch of sophistication and durability.

The surrounding patio, paved with matching slate tiles, provides ample space for sun loungers and outdoor furniture, creating a perfect setting for enjoying the serene countryside views. The garden’s mature trees and meticulously maintained hedges serve as a natural backdrop, enhancing the pool’s integration into the landscape.

The Challenges

One of the key challenges in this project was to install the pool in a way that respected the property’s historic character while incorporating modern features. The excavation and installation process required careful planning, particularly given the constraints of the site’s access and the need to preserve the surrounding landscape.

Additionally, the pool’s automation features had to be integrated discreetly, ensuring that the modern conveniences did not detract from the property’s traditional aesthetic. The installation team worked closely with the client to ensure that all technical elements, such as the heat pump and filtration systems, were housed in a manner that minimised their visual impact.

The Outcome

The residence now boasts a stunning swimming pool that enhances the property’s charm while offering modern amenities for comfort and convenience. The pool serves as a focal point in the garden, providing a peaceful retreat that the family can enjoy year-round. The successful integration of the pool’s design with the historic property is a testament to the careful planning and craftsmanship involved in the project.

Client testimonial: “We are absolutely thrilled with our new pool. It fits perfectly with the character of our home and has quickly become the heart of our outdoor space. The whole process was seamless, and the result is even better than we imagined.”
