XL-Trainer Pool Installation in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire
The Brief
The design brief for the project was to create a luxurious and inviting pool area that complemented the existing property and provided a space for relaxation, entertaining and recreation. The client was looking for an elegant pool shape which also incorporated sustainability and energy efficiency to minimise costs of ongoing operation.
The pool, a centerpiece of the garden’s design, needed to be visually striking. However, it was equally crucial that the pool harmoniously integrate with the existing landscape, respecting the established aesthetic and natural elements, ensuring it felt like a natural extension of the garden rather than an intrusive addition. This delicate balance between prominence and seamless integration would be key to achieving a cohesive and elegant outdoor space.
The Design
The pool is an XL-Trainer 110FB model, chosen for its expansive dimensions and clean, elegant lines. Finished in Nova Gray, the pool harmonises beautifully with the sandstone coping stones, which add a touch of classic elegance to the design. The surrounding patio, paved with complementary tiles, offers ample space for lounging and entertaining, with unique sculptures and carefully curated landscaping enhancing the overall aesthetic.
A standout feature of the design is the automatic roller cover with polycarbonate solar slats, which is not only energy-efficient but also discreetly integrated into the pool’s layout, maintaining the area’s sleek appearance. The pool is also equipped with advanced fresh water filtration and heating systems, ensuring a comfortable and low-maintenance swimming experience year-round.
The Challenges
One of the primary challenges was to design and install a pool that complemented the traditional aesthetic of the estate while incorporating modern technology. The excavation and installation were carefully planned to minimise disruption to the existing landscape, which included limited access and a need to preserve the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Another challenge was integrating the advanced filtration and heating systems in a way that did not detract from the pool’s elegant design. The team successfully managed to blend these modern amenities with the pool’s classic appearance, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The result is a stunning pool that serves as a focal point in the beautifully landscaped gardens of the countryside estate. The combination of elegant design, advanced technology, and thoughtful landscaping has transformed the outdoor space into a private oasis where the client can relax and enjoy the beauty of the countryside. The pool’s timeless design and modern features make it a perfect example of how traditional and contemporary elements can be seamlessly integrated.
