Compass Pools Scoops Top Honour
A pool company beloved by sports stars and celebs has been named Pool Retailer of the Year at the UK Pool and Spa Awards.
Waterstream, who own consumer brand Compass Pools, beat off tough competition to win the accolade and a clutch of other awards at the annual event.
The company, which has been in business for over 12 years, also scooped the top honour for Residential Refurb Project of the Year.
They won gold and silver awards in Residential Outdoor Pool of the Year (under £120,000), Residential Outdoor Pool of the Year (over £120,000) and Energy Efficiency.
The award ceremony, in its ninth year, took place earlier this Spring to recognise industry leaders in the pool and spa businesses.
Awards were presented on the night by Olympic and world champion swimmer Mark Foster.
Compass Pools, based in West Sussex, designs and installs luxury pools across the UK. Pools are built off site and transported to homes for installation, taking around three to four weeks.
Popular designs include the outdoor pools which make up 70% of all sales, infinity pools which are the ultimate luxury and natural pools using freshwater technology to allow customers to swim in water as clean as tap water.
Alex Kemsley from Compass Pools said: “It’s always great to win awards and being recognised by our peers and celebrating with them is an honour.
“We set up Compass Pools just seven years ago and since then have seen interest in the pools and sales increase above our expectations. We now install all year round across the UK and as far afield as Jersey, Guernsey and France.
“All our pools are built off site which is a huge plus point for our customers. It means we simply transport them ready made and install direct into the garden. In just eight working day we can turn a back garden into a luxurious pool area.”
Compass Pools UK specialises in the installation of Compass Ceramic Pools, both indoors and outdoors. The parent company, Compass Ceramic Pools was set up in 1981 in Australia. Over 3,000 pools are manufactured each year in Australia, Europe and the US, with 30,000 pools installed since launch.
