Compass Pools Planning Permission

Do you need planning permission?

In the majority of cases the answer to this question is ‘no’, as long as the building that you are going to house the pool within is freestanding. Since October 2008 outbuildings have been considered to be Permitted Development, and do not require planning permission (within specific terms and conditions).

However, in all cases whether you are having an extension built for your property or creating an outbuilding to house your pool, we would recommend speaking to your local council to establish whether you need to apply for specific permission.
