High quality fibreglass pool

When you choose Compass Pools you will get a truly first class fibreglass pool. Our pools are manufactured in a humidity-controlled factory to the highest standards. This ensures that your pool will be long-lasting and very cost effective compared to choosing a cheaper, inferior quality product. Additionally, our pools can be heated to a higher temperature than other models, which often have a limit of 30 degrees before the pool starts to blister.

Some pool manufacturers also have designs where the gelcoat will be in contact with water which means that the pool will become discoloured by the chlorine. We offer a more carefully designed product to provide a better lifespan.

Aqua Kit Pool

Aqua ceramic pool is ideal for great fun in a small space. Its compact design and dimensions make it ideal for smaller houses. Installation Process

Choose pool shell

The most important part, come down to the showroom and choose your pool!

Excavate hole

The first step in the install process is to mark out on the ground the size of the pool and the finished level, you will mark out an overdig to allow for backfill, you will then excavate to the depth of the pool plus room for backfill along with a trench for the services to the plant room.

Lay base

Once the hole is dug, you will then order in a lorry of micro concrete / stabalised sand / screed mix to lay the base of the pool in the bottom of the hole. Its a good idea to hire in a laser from a hire shop to enable you to get this spot on.

Lift pool into hole

The pool will be delivered on an articulated lorry, you should hire in a telehandler or excavator large enough to lift the pool from the lorry into the hole, if sufficient access is not available (2.5m) then a local crane company will be able to lift the pool into position. This pool itself being made of composite is extremely light for its size. Once in the hole you can fine tune the level and position using a laser

Run pipework

The pool will be pre plumbed with all its fittings into the shell, you will be supplied with 25m rolls of flexible pipework that need running in the trench you dug earlier. There are 3 fittings on the pool shell to glue the pipe to (glue supplied). You can then backfill the pipes with builders sand to protect them.

Attach filtration

The filtration system will either come as a pre plumbed box, or as component parts to be fitted into a shed or outbuilding. Its your option. The 3 pipes from the pool and lighting cables will be attached to this. We can hire a pressure testing kit to you to ensure you did everything correctly. Alternatively hire one of our engineers.

Backfill

Once the pool is all plumbed up its now time to backfill the pool with screed mix, this is done by machine, barrow or pump. Its a 1-2 day job carefully packing all the crevices to ensure you have a strong shell.

Fill with water

Its now ready to put the hose in, 1-3 days depending on your water pressure and you will be ready to power up.

Enjoy

Now its full of water, its just a case of powering up the filtration system, testing and you are away. Allow a few days to heat up depending on the heat source you have specified.

Other Costs

Delivery – Between £600 and £1800
Plant & Machinery to dig hole – £200 – £2500 (digger, dumper, crane or telehander if required)
Soil Removal – £150-250 per lorry (unless you have somewhere to use it in the garden)
Backfill – Approx £50-£75 per tonne. Amount depends on accuracy of hole.

  We decided to use Compass based on the experience of friends who recommended them.

The initial meetings were straightforward and Nick was helpful in terms of explaining the various options and how the installation process would work.

When the time came for excavation and installation of the pool, Penny and Mike made a preliminary visit and explained the timeline and what we could expect.

They were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and very efficient! They make a great team and we couldn’t believe the range of skills they possess between them. Nothing was too much trouble and obstacles were only ever met with solutions. They worked very long hours in some tricky conditions but always had a smile on their faces!

  When we decided to install a pool, Penny helped us through the specification and costing process with sensible advice and a detailed project plan. The installation ran to time, despite particularly awful winter weather. Penny and Mike did a great job - they are hardworking, thoughtful and were a pleasure to deal with.   i procured a pool from compass on a new construction house we built. the house was considerably delayed, but compass were extremely good and accommodating the moving timelines. now the pool is in we are totally delighted with it, stunning aesthetic but also the kit is state of the art and all online via an app they really take the hassle out of up keeping a pool which i was dreading. re the resign of the pool, you are really left with the feeling they really know about pools and whats important. we were going to build one bespoke but we would never have thought of the little design touches that make is so user friendly. i rarely write reviews, but these guys really deserve it, rarely these days do you come across top notch suppliers that are also not too expensive. top service too, shout out to sheila, thank you..

  Penny and Mike of Compass in Kent did a fantastic job - professional, experienced, confidence building (for first time pool owners!) and always on time/always doing exactly what they said they would from first meeting and good advice through to final installation, handover and explanations of maintaining the pool. dealt expertly with difficult access, a narrow lane, a big crane lift (with high winds) along the way.
