In comparison to a full composite one piece pool they are a lot less impact resistant and much more easily scratched. The colors are also usually flat and can be susceptible to chlorine damage. The nature of welding individual sections together makes them susceptible to human error in construction at the factory and on site, and thus the likelihood of leaks akin to the problems associated with welded pool liners.
