Waterstream Celebrates Success at the 2026 SPATA Awards

Waterstream, the leading specialist in the UK swimming pool industry, is celebrating their first awards wins of 2026 after securing multiple accolades at the prestigious 2026 SPATA Awards (Swimming Pool & Allied Trades Association), announced this week.

The SPATA Awards form part of the annual British Pool & Hot Tub Awards, held during SPATEX, the UK’s biggest wet leisure industry event. Each year, the awards highlight high‑quality and technically outstanding pool installations from across the country. The awards, which honour excellence across design, construction, innovation and engineering, recognise the very best projects delivered by SPATA members nationwide.

This year, Waterstream has been recognised in the following categories:

Winner: Residential Outdoor One-Piece Pools – for The Turners Hill Project

This award-winning project centred on creating a luxurious, expansive swimming pool that would serve as a striking focal point within the client’s estate while harmonising with the property’s traditional architecture. Designed for year‑round enjoyment, the pool combines a sophisticated, timeless aesthetic with modern amenities, using the XXL‑Trainer 133 for its impressive proportions and sleek visual impact. Thoughtful landscaping, elegant finishes and high‑end features ensure the pool enhances both the beauty and functionality of the outdoor space, resulting in a refined retreat that seamlessly blends contemporary design with a classic setting.

Gold Standard: Residential Indoor Freeboard Pools – for The Tarporley Project

This gold standard project exemplifies outstanding precision planning, engineering excellence, and seamless design integration, delivering a perfectly balanced indoor One‑Piece pool that functions flawlessly year‑round. Installed at the very earliest stage of construction, the pool required exceptional coordination between design, build and installation teams to achieve its seamless architectural fit, while advanced systems for heating, humidity control and water treatment ensure optimal comfort in every season. Its elegant proportions, clean design lines and peaceful ambience elevate the pool beyond functionality to a refined wellness space. Demonstrating how intelligently a One‑Piece pool can be integrated into a new building, the project is testament to expert craftsmanship, technical skill and the transformative potential of modern pool engineering.

Finalist: Peter Newbery Award for UK Innovation

Awarded for the Compass Pools AI Pool Assistant, a web-based, AI-driven platform that empowers swimming pool owners to diagnose and address common pool issues themselves. By combining AI with intuitive workflows, Compass Pools by Waterstream uses technology to bridge the gap between professional expertise and everyday users, enabling non-specialists to confidently manage their pools.

Finalist: Ryan Devlin for the Paul Kite Award for ‘Pool / Spa Star of the Year’

This award recognises enthusiasm, willingness to learn, talent, and promise in pool/spa staff with less than ten years’ experience in the industry. Ryan Devlin, Production Manager at Waterstream was a very worthy finalist in this category.  Ryan was recognised for his exceptional leadership in transforming Waterstream’s production operations, systemising processes, strengthening quality control, and ensuring every pool meets strict SPATA standards. Through his calm, practical management, commitment to developing his team, and ability to blend technical expertise with people‑focused leadership, he has elevated efficiency, consistency and craftsmanship across the business, ensuring Waterstream’s reputation for excellence.

Alex Kemsley, Managing Director at Waterstream, said:

“We are incredibly proud to be recognised once again by SPATA in their annual awards. These awards celebrate the dedication, craftsmanship and innovation our team brings to every project. We’re delighted that Waterstream has been recognised by our peers in the industry for our consistently high standards of design and innovation.”

The awards were presented on Tuesday 3rd February at a special Industry Gala Evening during the SPATEX exhibition, one of the highlights of the industry social calendar. The awards are designed to encourage high standards and recognise the best examples of craftsmanship and service within the industry.
